the last one was only 2 years ago and she is in crisis again .

this a real wakeup call for me.

i cannot afford to be a procrastinator in this area anymore.

major kick in the pants this week.

renewed resolve to stop putting it off until like is easier.

life is never going to be easy.

no capitals when blogging from my cell phone while waiting for an appt :)

Light at the end of the tunnel

Yesterday I attempted to make a list of all the renos that we have had done to our house sice March. I know I forgot at least 3 things and still the list was massive. We could have probably justified moving out temporarily it was so much stuff. However, since we didn't touch the kitchen there was no "need" for that.

Writing that list really helped a lot. I kind of patted myself on the back and thought, you know what? This explains a lot.

I have been feeling TOTALLY SWAMPED for months. There has rarely been a day to just decompress and sit still. I am not kidding.

And if I backed up before March to last September all those months were crazy too because all the volunteering Jamie and I were doing for the kid's hockey teams.

Anyways.... there is light at the end of the tunnel. The chaos and frustration will end.

I will have the energy to contemplate doing stuff the I enjoy doing (hobbies) and doing stuff to maintain and improve my fitness.

For the last year Fitness has not even been on the radar for the above mentioned reasons.

I am SO looking forward to getting "my life back". Things are going to be so much better soon. Thank heavens!!! Sometimes it has felt a lot like a crushing boulder was sitting on top of me.

Goodbye boulder. Hello freedom! Too bad I missed Spring and Summer. Oh, well, there is always 2012!

Brisk walk, yes WALK!

Starting down the workout path again. Renos are winding down-ish.

Bought myself an iPod nano just for workouts.

i do have an ipod touch but I share it with my 8 year old and well, I don't want to be pissed off when I go to use it and either a) I can't find it or b) it isn't charged.

The new small nano's are pretty sweet running gadgets. I got the nike+ addon from the RR store.

At the walking stage right now instead of running.
Have been a root vegetable for a year. Gotta start somewhere.

Time: 45mins. 4kms.
Weather: 30C. Hot!

Hi - July 27th 2011

Hi,

Too busy to blog right now.

Back in September!

Renovating my house. All my time and energy is spent on that right now.

Hope most of it will be done by end of August.

Early post

Hey, I'm early for May

Spring is trying really hard to exert itself. Lets face it, by the time it gets here it will be almost summer.

Went for a quick 4 days to visit family in Ont. Also got to visit my friend Steph. I drove to her hometown and we had an awesome Italian dinner and then went out to a pub for a bit. I was driving my Dad's truck and managed to get myself pulled over neat the outskirts of town. I was trying to figure out how to get the brights on when I got pulled over. Turns out I didn't have any lights on at all. I was really glad I had said no to all alcoholic drinks. Phewsh!

Still need to get into some sort of exercise routine. I seem to come home from work so tired. Of course my husband tells me I wouldn't be so tired if I would exercise... Kind of a chicken and egg problem.

At least the cold snow and ice of winter have gone. No reason not to get outside more!

Oops, I missed March!

So its now April. We are into Spring here but winter is apparently coming for another visit this week.

I am much more chipper. I had some serious winter blues going on there this winter. Bleh!

Kids hockey season is over, it is spring-ish. Yahoos all around.

For the past 3 nights after dinner the kids and I have gone off for a bike ride. Fun! The kids have gotten a big kick out of the giant puddles covering the pathway. It seems the biggest puddle is getting smaller though.

In other news we splurged and bought a treadmill last week. The kids like it. Don't worry internet-worrywarts. They are fully supervised etc. etc.

My almost 8 year old can run at 6.5 mph for 5 minutes. Oh to be 8 years old and fit. That is pretty darn fast. He could probably go faster but due to safety considerations I've told him that he is not allowed to go faster.

So, it is 9:36 at night. Usually I would go to bed but instead I'm going to go burn some calories on the treadmill. I'm walking on an incline. Starting slow so I can go the long haul. As much as I would love to run straight out of the gate I'm pushing 40 and the old joints just arn't what they used to be!

Oh ya, did I remember to mention that I have been working full time hours since November? Well the jig is up, it was either accept a permanent position or hit the highway. As tempting as it was to be a trophy wife (ha! ya right) I signed the papers and its effective May 1st.

Having double benefits, paid vacation and sick days, a savings plan, bonus etc. might not be such a bad thing. Still have a bit of mommy guilt though. Shouldn't I be spending more time with my children instead of slaving away for more moneymoneymoney??? Be quiet, that's a rhetorical question!!! :)

Jan. 5th 2010

Geeze!

This blog has a quarter inch of dust on it!

Happy New Years!

I am starting out this year rounder than I would like.

These past 3 months or so have not been so hot for me. At times I have struggled emotionally. At times being a parent to 2 challenging kids has nearly made me want to jump off a cliff. Well not really. That sounds scary but close enough.

Anyways... It is New Years! Time for new and improved enthusiasm!

I've hopped on the Eliptical once. I'ver tried a Jillian DVD with my daughter. She made it through the whole thing (she's 5), I pulled my hamstring almost immediately. How cool is that that my 5 year old girl can do full push ups?

The other day we got that new gadget for the Xbox. I did the fitness test for the new fitness game. I am still sore 2 days later but I think the system is super cool. You get a visual of your body in real time showing your form and you have to try to keep up with the trainer.

I am about to go and attempt an actual workout. Hopefully I can walk tomorrow.

On another note, I stopped by Terry from YT's blog today.

You must go see his progress in the last year.
Ah-freaking-mazing.

I guess that is what happens when you don't take no for an answer. I have been interacting with Terry online since 2007. This past year it all came together for him and I'm really glad he shares through his blog.

Do you see his shoulder caps? WOW!

Greetings to the long lost YT ppl.
