OK. So here is something a smart person would do. Realize their running shoes were no longer cushion-y. Decide to go buy a new pair. Take their orthotics to the running store. Try on shoes before buying them.
Here is what I did: Bought new shoes without trying them on. Proceeded to wear them immediately on a 2.5 hour walk. Got a blister on my second toe because they were too tight in the width. Got a scary swollen pre-spur on the left foot where they were being squished. Oh, and wear them some more before giving up. The blister thing is whatever, the swollen spur thing on the side of my foot. YIKES!!!!
Soooo.... I have to solve this shoe problem before getting back to power walking. I will actually try on the shoes this time before buying them instead of thinking hey, I just bought this same model and size 3 months ago, they must be perfect!
Which means... my kid is kicking my a$$ this week. Damn! He is racking up 2.5 hours a day of icetime.
I need to go to a summer camp! :)
I wish I could walk around in Crocs while this spur thing goes away. Crocs don't touch it at all. Damn wide feet!
